Bruce Bennett Appointed National Director
At the September 2025 meeting of Senior Pastors, Bruce Bennett was unanimously elected as the new National Director of the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches.
Bruce has been serving as the Acting National Director since Al Stewart stepped down from the role in September 2024. Prior to that, Bruce has served as a Chaplain with FIEC, and a coach with Reach Australia.
A graduate from Moore Theological College, Bruce has been in pastoral ministry for over three decades, serving as a Pastor with the Anglican Church in Warialda and Tamworth, and then as Senior Pastor of Orange Evangelical Church (an FIEC church) until 2021.
Bruce is married to Robyn and they have four children and nine grandchildren. They live in Orange NSW where they continue to be actively involved in Orange Evangelical Church.
