ADDICTION & CHANGE
This seminar aims to assist ministry staff in engaging with and supporting individuals and families where addiction is present. To achieve this the seminar will:
Deepen participants’ understanding of addiction / dependence
Explain key frameworks for understanding how addiction develops
Introduce ways to understand and support people affected by addiction and consider how lasting change happens
Provide an overview of treatment approaches and options
Using practical examples, together with the provision of referral pathways and key resources, participants will be equipped to better support those affected by addiction and their families..
