Can You Help With Our National Conference?

Our annual National Conference has been growing every year as more churches join FIEC and more people want to experience what our Fellowship is like. Last year, almost 500 people gathered at The Tops Conference centre at Stanwell Tops in NSW, and we are expecting similar numbers this year.

To cater for this many people, we need a number of teams who can help with various aspects of running the conference. As a thank you to our volunteers, we are offering generous discounts off the conference registration fees. Most positions require little to no lead up work, and just a few hours of time on each of the conference days.

Here Are the Volunteer Positions

    • Team Leader (100% Discount) - Overseeing transport, accommodation and the dining experience for the duration of the conference (1 required)

    • Assistant to Hospitality Team Leader (75% Discount) - helping the team leader (1 required)

    • Head of Transport Crew (15% Discount) - overseeing transport to and from the train station for those who need it (1 required)

    • Drivers (10% Discount) - to pick up and drop off people to and from Helensburgh Station. 1 - 2 hours work at the beginning and end of the conference. Own car required. (4 required)

    • Head of Check-In (50% Discount) - Getting there a bit early at the start of the conference and making sure everyone gets checked in (1 required)

    • Check-In Assistant (40% Discount) - a couple of hours work at the start of the conference to check everyone in (4 required)

    • Head of Dining Crew (80% Discount) - overseeing dining experience, liaising with kitchen staff, helping delegates, etc. (1 required)

    • Usher (50% Discount) - assisting the Head of Dining by ensuring people get into the dinning room efficiently (4 required)

    • Assistant to Plenary Team Leader (80% Discount) - assisting with anything to do with our main plenary sessions (1 required)

    • Stage Manager (80%) Discount - overseeing set-up and smooth transitions during plenary sessions (1 required)

    • Guest Speaker Liaison (80% Discount) - making sure our guest speakers are looked after, and are where they need to be (1 required)

    • Foyer Co-ordinator (80% Discount) - Liaising with display vendors, overseeing entrance and exit of delegates, as welll as morning and afternoon teas (1 required)

    • Assistant to Foyer Coordinator (70% Discount) - general help to foyer co-ordinator (1 required)

    • Workshops Team Leader (100% Discount) - ensure that all workshops run smoothly (1 required)

    • Assistant to Workshops Team Leader (75% Discount) - help the Workshops Team Leader (1 required)

    • Room Co-ordinator (50% Discount) - oversee set up of allocated room, liaise with speaker, and trouble shoot any problems (5 required)

    • Assistant Room Co-ordinator (40% Discount) - help the Room Co-ordinator of an allocated room (5 required)
