SEMINAR DETAILS

Strategic Planning 101 (Andrew Mitchell)

Effective planning is critical to effective disciple making and church activity. In this session we will consider the activities, timing and tools to support the annual church planning process.

Training women to Love their Husbands and kids (Lesley Ramsay)

Lesley is a well known speaker and mentor to women. She will be outlining how women can help other women minister to their husbands and children. And there will be plenty of time for questions and learning from the shared experiences of other women at the conference.

Evangelising people coming from a Roman Catholic background (Mark Gilbert)

Has the Reformation been overturned? Mark heads up ‘Certainty4Eternity’ and is continuing his ministry from earlier conferences. Reaching people from a Roman Catholic, or similar, background requires careful thought. Come and learn skills and approaches set within a pastorally sensitive base.

Implementing Safe Ministry Practices

Dave Moore and Kristy Cordery will outline the legal and insurance requirements that churches need to meet and simple steps to implement to help your church be a safe place, a legal place and an insurable place.

Making the Most of Groups: Growing a Healthy Women’s Ministry in a Time Poor Culture.

Ruth Sheath has partnered with her husband (Dave) in planting a church and raising a family.
Discover how we can purposefully use the benefits and opportunities of women meeting in groups to grow women, in their knowledge and love of Christ, and in an ability to serve Him throughout their lives.

Let the word of Christ dwell richly among you... (Trevor Hodge & Jon Baldwin)

Its a bigger issue than ‘how do we make our music sound good’!  Singing together is a joy and discipline that God has given us to engage with Him, transform us in Christlikeness, build up His church and proclaim His glory to the nations.  In this session we’ll explore how we as leaders can encourage a healthy church culture of praise and song, and different issues that can hold this back.

Marriages and Funerals in Church Plants
(Roy Davidson and Jim Ramsay)

Roy will be explaining the governmental Rules and Regulations pertaining to Marriage Licenses for independent churches.
Jim will look at the Form of Services for a reformed and evangelical ministry with regard to both wedding and funerals, as well as the associated pastoral issues.

Getting ‘The Discipling Pathway’ right in a new church (Craig Dobbie)

Craig’s experience will help you set up a ministry pathway. He is now serving in a smaller church (Peninsula EV) and is in the process of establishing a clear discipling pathway in that congregation. He is working at turning atheists into missionaries who have a mature grasp of the gospel.

Raising Financial Management Standards for God. (Jeanette Korporaal & Cecil Benjamin)

We need to glorify God in the management of our church finances. Jeanette Korporaal & Cecil Benjamin have worked with over 500 churches over 25 years and have a passion to teach church leadership how to effectively & efficiently manage the finances of your church. This includes:
