National Conference 2017

At our National Conference in 2017 we will be asking God to help us see our blindspots clearly. In this 500th year since the Reformation, where do we still need to be reforming? What areas of our lives and ministry need correction? What are we missing when it comes to reaching Australia with the good news of Jesus Christ? Where are we in danger of being blindsided, both from outside and inside our churches?

At this years conference, Dave McDonald, our new National Director, will be opening up Revelation 1-7 and exploring what the Spirit has to say to our FIEC churches today. Peter Jensen, will encourage us to learn from the past, and apply it to the present, for the sake of our future. We will re-examine what it means to be evangelical and reformed.

We will explore a number of potential blindspots, covering a range of issues that we will share with you as the program comes together. Vigorous networking and meal-time conversations will continue to be a highlight throughout the three days.

Dave McDonald

Dave is the inaugural National Director for the FIEC. He has previously been the senior pastor at Crossroads and Stromlo churches in Canberra. Each day will begin with Dave leading us in 3 studies from Revelation 1-7, examining what the Spirit is saying to our churches.

Peter Jensen

Peter exercises an important ministry with GAFCON, encouraging faithful evangelical ministry among Anglicans worldwide. He was previously the Principal of Moore Theological College and Archbishop of Sydney Anglican Diocese.

Craig Hamilton

Craig is the author of Wisdom in Leadership and on the team at Glenmore Park Anglican Church. Craig will speak to us about 'Building a Leadership Pipeline', a philosophy and a framework for intentionally developing people in leadership.

Principal Clinical Psychologist of The Centre For Effective Living

Valerie will speak to us on the topic of 'Resilience in life and ministry'.
